When the wind picks up off the bay, Atlantic County has plenty of warm places to settle in for a long meal. These cozy spots, from a fireplace dining room in Galloway to a heated igloo at a winery, are all open for the 2026 winter season.
Smithville Inn
- Where: 1 N. New York Road, Galloway Township
- When: Monday to Saturday 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Sunday 11:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
This lakeside landmark dates to 1787 and has an indoor fireplace, old world dining rooms and a classic continental menu with a modern touch. After dinner, walk over to watch Smithville’s holiday light show on Lake Meone, which runs nightly until 8:30 p.m. from Nov. 27.
Gregory’s Restaurant and Bar
- Where: 900 Shore Road, Somers Point
- When: Daily, 11:30 a.m. to midnight
Serving the Somers Point Bay District since 1946, Gregory’s is a classic neighborhood tavern with seafood, Cajun touches and a breakfast burger that has its own fan club. It is the kind of place where a winter lunch easily turns into an afternoon.
Girasole
- Where: 3108 Pacific Ave., Atlantic City
- When: Dinner Sunday to Thursday 4 to 9 p.m., Friday and Saturday 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.
Handmade pasta, seafood and brick oven pizza make Girasole a comforting choice on a cold night a few blocks from the boardwalk. The cocktail bar is a good spot to wait for your table.
Igloo and Fire Pit Dining at Renault
- Where: Renault Winery and Resort, 72 N. Bremen Ave., Egg Harbor City
- When: During Vintner Wonderland, Nov. 13, 2026 to Jan. 18, 2027, by reservation
Book a private heated igloo for up to five, a heated cabana for up to six or a fire pit for up to eight beside the outdoor ice rink, with options like s’mores, a raclette station and smashburgers from the Renault Mobile Kitchen. TASTE 1864 igloo and fire pit dining is also offered this season.
Three 3’s Brewing Company
- Where: 100 12th St., Hammonton
- When: Check the brewery’s social pages for current tap room hours
This family owned craft brewery in downtown Hammonton is a relaxed place to warm up with a pint, a tasting flight or a growler to go. Pair it with dinner at one of the many restaurants on nearby Bellevue Avenue and 12th Street.
Mannino’s Cannoli Express
- Where: Downtown Hammonton
- When: Check the shop’s pages for seasonal hours
Finish the night with dessert in the Blueberry Capital of the World. Mannino’s is known for fresh filled cannoli with imported Sicilian shells, homemade creams, gelato and espresso drinks, and the business started with a blueberry cannoli at the Hammonton Blueberry Festival.
Make It a Night Out
Many of these spots pair naturally with a seasonal outing. Dinner at the Smithville Inn lines up with the lake light show next door, Renault’s igloos sit beside the Vintner Wonderland rink, and a Hammonton brewery stop can follow the Rotary Club WinterFest from Friday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Dec. 6, 2026. In Somers Point, Gregory’s sits in the historic Bay District, close to the waterfront.
Winter Dining Tips
- Book Renault igloos and cabanas early, since holiday weekends fill fast.
- Many shore restaurants trim hours in the off season, so call ahead.
- Make a night of it by pairing dinner with a holiday light show or skating session.
- Downtown Hammonton is walkable, so park once and visit a brewery, dinner spot and dessert shop on foot.
Winter is also a slower season for many local kitchens, which means easier tables on weeknights and more time to linger. Support these year round spots now and they will be ready for you when summer crowds return.
